100 businesses. One pledge. One future workforce.

WHAT

is STEM 100?

Britain’s STEM industries are facing a talent crisis. The solution starts with you.

STEM 100 is a national campaign bringing together forward-thinking employers from engineering, manufacturing, technology and beyond, united by a single commitment: to help build the next generation of STEM talent.

If you’re the kind of business that doesn’t wait for the skills gap to close itself, this is your campaign. You get a direct line to your future workforce, your brand in front of students, families and local communities, and CSR with outcomes you can actually point to. Most of all, you get to be seen leading your sector, not following it.

What We Do

WHY

Should your business care?

The engineers, technicians and innovators you’ll be hiring in ten years’ time are in classrooms right now. Whether they choose STEM depends on what they see, and who they meet, today.

Back one local school for one academic year and you’re doing more than ticking a CSR box. You’re shaping the workforce your sector depends on, building a reputation people remember, and leaving a legacy your team will be proud of.

What your support makes happen: across 39 weeks, students aged 11 to 16 meet weekly to build a full-size racing kart, master the real physics and maths behind every component and race their build at the National Finals.

HOW

does STEM 100 work?

It starts with the pledge: a simple commitment of intent to back a local school team for one academic year. Once you’ve signed, here’s what your involvement could look like. Pick whatever suits your business:

1. Volunteering & Mentoring: Use your employee volunteering days to put technical staff in the workshop for build days, site visits and term-time mentoring. Students get a direct line to real careers; your people get volunteering that means something.

2. Resources & Transport: Lend a minibus or van to get the team and their kart to Test Days and the National Finals. A simple fix for you; a total lifesaver for the school.

3. Kart Sponsorship: Fund the kart and put your branding on the livery. Your logo sits front and centre all season: on track, at race events and in every team photo.

How matching works: Sign the pledge and our Schools Partnerships Manager will be in touch to match you with a school near you, agree the support that suits you, and get the team track-ready.

WHERE

do I sign up?

Right here. Hit Sign the Pledge below and our partnerships team will take it from there. Once you’ve pledged, we’ll help you find the right fit:

  • Join an existing team: Back a school already on the grid that needs a boost with volunteering, transport or local sponsorship.

  • Launch a brand-new team: Get a school stuck on the sidelines due to tight budgets onto the starting line for the very first time.
